They may seem like an odd combination, but the iPod photo could be the perfect choice for anyone who wants to view photo slideshows on an HDTV. The iPod photo can store thousands of digital photos, and syncs with a Mac or PC via iTunes. It will read any slideshows you've created in iPhoto on a Mac or Photoshop Album on a PC and copy them to the iPod. Alternatively you can tell it to copy a folder full of images from your hard drive as a slideshow. Also, with the addition of an optional camera connector($29), you can copy photos directly from a digital camera and automatically create a slideshow from them on the iPod photo. All slideshows can be set to music. To connect the iPod photo to an HDTV you'll need to first make sure that your HDTV has composite video and audio inputs and then purchase the iPod photo AV cable ($19) from Apple.
Connect the iPod to your TV, select the appropriate input and hey presto, your slideshow can be seen in beautiful, bright widescreen glory on your HDTV.It's worth bearing a few things in mind when creating slideshows for HDTV. First of all, the screen of an HDTV set has an aspect ratio of 16:9 (length: height) so if you size your photos with this aspect ratio you'll be able to fill the screen without cropping the photo or seeing ugly black space around it. Secondly, the resolution required for optimal viewing on HDTV at full screen is less than that needed for printing even an A4 image. So if you only intend viewing your photos on-screen, whether on your computer or HDTV, you can save space on your iPod photo by reducing the capture resolution on your digital camera. If you set it at three mega-pixels, that will be enough to allow you to crop photos to the correct aspect ratio and still view them at the highest possible quality on an HDTV.Of course, the iPod photo can store more than just photographs.
Anything that can be saved as an image file, such as JPEG, can be included in a slideshow, so you could even use it to carry around business presentations which can be viewed by anyone with access to a TV or projector..

Even with the lowest pixel available in your digital camera, you too can produce photos and prints at home that can look better than those made in photo labs. Digital photo printing has come to a point where everybody is given the choice to either produce the output by themselves or to get assistance from outside. So when you opt to do it yourself, avoid the two mistakes often made by first timers of digital photo printing. Mistake # 1: Digital camera is not set to the highest image quality.Solution:The first thing you should do is to set your digital camera to the highest picture resolution available. This can be found in the camera's setup menu, and usually indicated as either "quality" or "size".
In addition, when your digital camera offers you to select between TIFF and JPG when saving your photo, opt for TIFF. TIFF images appear much cleaner, crisper, and more detailed than the JPG version. However, you have to take note that TIFF files have larger sizes than JPG that your...

Commercial Photo Printing
With the increasing use of digital cameras in homes across the U.S., people widely experiment to get printouts of their photos. The most common option is to use a desk printer to address their printing needs. The above practice may prove economical for occasional use, but if you want to get more printouts from your desk printer it becomes an expensive affair. A lot of money will go toward producing low-quality photographs, considering the cost of ink cartridges and photo paper.
Commercial photo printing machines give you bright, high-quality pictures which are otherwise not possible to get at home. It is always advised to take your precious photographs to a professional printer who would do justice to the memories captured by your camera.
The printers manufactured for home use are not geared to produce quality pictures like their commercial counterparts. Even though some may have color printing facilities, they can never match up to the finish and elegance the commercial...

MULTIFUNCTION PRINTERS FOR MORE SERIOUS PRINTING JOBS
Are you looking for a printer that will not only print you text but can also give you a high quality image? Before buying or using a printer, you should know what quality you are going to get. Image quality depends on the paper and the printer that you are going to use.Printers are divided into two categories, impact and non-impact. Impact printers refer to printers that touch the paper in order to create an image. Non-impact printers are those that do not touch the paper when creating an image.Dot matrix and character printers are impact printers. A dot matrix printer has a series of small pins.
These pins strike a ribbon that is coated with ink. When the pins touch the ribbon, it transfers the ink to the paper at the point of impact. Character printers are just like typewriters, only that they are electronically controlled. The characters are transferred to the paper by an ink ribbon that is struck by letters or numbers embossed on a series of bar or ball.Non-impact printers...
